Nate's parents were young when he was born, so his maternal grandmother took him in and raised him to be a gentleman, a scholar and a self-sufficient entrepreneur. Life was not easy, but he found his footing as a leader at Harlan Community Academy, rising to Commander in J.R.O.T.C. and serving as President of both the Student Council and the Class of 2007.

He credits those years for his organization, timeliness and accountability. He turned every setback into a lesson, and earned the respect of mentors, celebrities and fellow entrepreneurs along the way.

From street-team promotions to publicity for The Support Group, from Team Rose Basketball Camp with Derrick Rose to the office of U.S. Congressman Bobby L. Rush, Nate has built a career on knowing people and getting things done.

His biggest play: seeing the Chicago Sky as champions before anyone else did. He brought Candace Parker to the Bud Billiken Parade as Grand Marshal in August 2021, rallied sponsors and foundation support, and watched the Sky win the 2021 WNBA title.
